BRIGHT CAR WASH ATTRACTS UPSCALE CUSTOMER

Manitowoc, Wisc. (August 18, 2008) According to market research by The Conference Board, over the next several years, households with earnings of at least $100,000 will be one of the fastest growing segments of the U.S. population.

Greg Sheehy says, "grasp the opportunity." This fast-growing, wealthy demographic drives nice cars and don't often wash them in their driveways. They use car washes.

Sheehy is President of Operations, Extrutech Plastics, Inc., "If women have a choice, they won't choose a car wash with dark, damp, moldy walls. Whether self-serve, tunnel or automatic, bright car wash bays attract the well-to-do customer in need of a wash and wax."

Extrutech Plastics, Inc. provides PVC panels and doors for the interior walls and ceilings of today's car washes.

"Highly-reflective Extrutech panels are ideal for high-moisture areas because they are waterproof," says Sheehy. "The panels are stain-resistant, low maintenance and easy to clean. Salt and cleaners don't eat at POLY BOARD(c) Extrutech panels."

"The panels can be installed over block walls. If you start the project with a dry wall, the POLY BOARD(c) creates a vapor barrier. Water will not get behind the panels."

"With Extrutech panels, we can take a really bad-looking wall and make it look good," said Jesse Licary, Mister Car Wash, who installed the panels in 8 Southern U.S. car washes. "The panels are easy to clean and there's no maintenance other than cleaning. You don't have to worry about chemicals being harsh on your walls like it is with tile where the glaze fades over time."

"They are fairly easily to install. Two to three guys can do a 120-foot tunnel in two days. They really brighten up the tunnel when you use the white Extrutech panels. If you use the right light, you can see our car wash one mile away. Nothing compares to that."

Chosen as the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Carwash Association (MCA) Trendsetting Product of the Year, Extrutech's panels install quickly and easily with no exposed fasteners. Available in widths of both 12 inches and 24 inches long, they can be ordered from 4 to 20 feet to fit any size building.

Extrutech's panels are extruded from 100% virgin, exterior-grade PVC. Both panel sizes have a tongue-and-groove design with a nailing fin along one side that makes installation quick and easy with no exposed fasteners. Panels are custom cut to fit project requirements.

"Our car wash owners tell us the glossy surface improves overall reflective lighting requiring less bulbs, which saves energy," Sheehy said. "With smooth, plastic POLY BOARD(c) panels, the surrounding environment is great-looking with a fresh, clean appearance, instead of dark and dirty. And when you have a clean interior, it enhances the value of your property, and invites customers in."

Extrutech is the only supplier that can provide panels in red, green, blue and yellow to help build your brand. Currently, all the major oil companies have used the accent stripes in some of their car washes to enhance their image.

Extrutech's POLY BOARD(c) car wash panels come with a 10-year warranty and won't deteriorate or breakdown. They are class "A" material and pass ASTM E84-05 and CAN/ULC S102.2-03 for fire and smoke. Plastic, extruded door panels and frames are also available and are assembled with stainless steel hardware. Extrutech has been installing white and colored plastic panels in car washes since 1992. A U.S. company, Extrutech works with your builder or architect to engineer the exact material list to complete the project. Contact Extrutech at 888-818-0118 or visit www.epiplastics.com

CUSTOM CUT POLY BOARD© PANELS SUSTAINABLE FOR DAIRIES
Manitowoc, Wisc. (August 18, 2008) Those involved in agriculture are the original environmental stewards. They have spent a lifetime reusing and re-inventing to increase profitability. Today’s pressure to be even more environmentally responsible challenges dairy producers thinking about expansion to think plastic.

Extrutech Plastics, Inc., offers sustainable solutions for today’s dairies. Plastic POLY BOARD© ceiling and wall panels installed in today’s modern dairies require less lighting, clean easily, last for generations, and are recyclable. According to Greg Sheehy, President of Operations, Extrutech Plastics, Inc., plastic offers valuable advantages in a high moisture area, like a milking parlor or milk house.

“The Extrutech panels don’t support mold or mildew,” Sheehy said. “They won’t rot, rust or warp and they never need paint, making maintenance easy. A high-pressure washer is the only thing dairy producers need to keep the highly reflective panels bright and sanitary.”

John Pagel, Pagel’s Ponderosa, just expanded his operation in Wisconsin. “I chose Extrutech because of the white surface and its high light reflectivity. It really lights up the parlor. It has a cleanable surface, which makes it easy for maintenance.”

“The high reflectivity of the panels requires less lighting, which saves energy,” Sheehy said. “Fewer light bulbs save money, but, also give dairy producers another way to be ‘green’ and increase sustainability. Plastic is recyclable. We recycle all of our trim in the manufacturing process.”

“The green movement isn’t going away,” Sheehy said. “For a product that is durable, low maintenance and doesn’t require cutting trees, it’s plastic.”

One of Sheehy’s dairy customers said, “The parlor is so bright, it looks like an operating room, making it a more pleasant environment for his employees.”

Installed quickly and easily, there are no exposed fasteners on Extrutech’s panels. Available in custom cut lengths up to 20 feet long and in the 12” wide or the popular 24” wide version, the Extrutech panels create a smooth, bright white, sanitary surface ideal for today’s high-tech dairy facilities.

Extrutech’s POLY BOARD© dairy panels come with a 10-year warranty and won’t turn yellow, deteriorate or delaminate, allowing for years of service. They are class “A” material and pass ASTM E84-05 and CAN/ULC S102.2-03 for smoke and fire. Plastic, extruded door panels and frames are also available and are assembled with stainless steel hardware and doorknobs that can be easily washed. Extrutech has been manufacturing plastic panels and doors for dairy farms since 1992. A U.S. company, Extrutech works with your builder to engineer the exact panel material list for your dairy project. This saves installing time, reduces seams and cuts down on material scrap at the jobsite. Contact Extrutech at 888-818-0118 or visit www.epiplastics.com

POLY BOARD© PANELS ON WALLS AND CEILINGS IMPROVE SANITARY CONDITIONS

Manitowoc, Wisc. (August 18, 2008) Today’s sanitary regulations aren’t getting any easier. Food processing plant owners, however, can give their plants that clean, sanitary appearance with plastic wall and ceiling liner panels.

Extrutech Plastics, Inc. provides PVC products for the interior walls and ceilings for today’s progressive processing plants.

Greg Sheehy, President of Operations, Extrutech Plastics, Inc., believes that whether it’s new construction or a remodeling project, plastic panels offer more than a sanitary appearance. “Extrutech’s panels are ideal for high moisture areas, because they’re waterproof. They don’t support mold or mildew per ASTM D3273 and ASTM D3274. The panels won’t rot, rust or warp and never need paint, making maintenance easy.”

Patrick Flumerfelt, Treetop, installed Extrutech panels into their Northwest Naturals plant in Bothell, Washington, where they blend custom juice concentrates.

“This is a unique product I don’t see anybody else selling,” said Patrick. “It is simple construction and easy to install. I like it because it creates a good seal to keep out moisture on the walls. I purchased it because of the high moisture and spray down environment it was installed in. Basically, it was a lot easier than tiling all of the walls.”

Extrutech panels are extruded from exterior-grade PVC. They are available in widths of 12 inches and 24 inches wide and up to 20 feet long, depending on your needs. The POLY BOARD© panels have a tongue-and-groove design with a hidden nailing fin along one side that makes installation quick and easy with no exposed fasteners. Panels are custom cut to fit project requirements.

“Inspectors love the look of no exposed fasteners and seamless walls that capture bacteria,” Sheehy said. “The ability to high-pressure wash the walls down everyday helps with pathogen protection. It’s nice and clean looking.”

Extrutech POLY BOARD© panels are replacing FRP in a lot of plants where the facility has drab, dirty walls. Sheehy believes a bright plant keeps workers, safety and productivity at their peak. “The high reflectivity of the panels requires less lighting, which also saves energy,” Sheehy said. “It gives processors another way to be ‘green’ and increases sustainability. And, it’s completely recyclable. You can take it off, put it in a grinder and re-extrude it into decking, fencing or siding. And, you can do it over and over again.”

Northwest Naturals purchased Extrutech’s white panels. “The room is four times brighter than it ever was,” Flumerfelt said.

Extrutech Plastics, Inc. provides PVC products for the interior walls and ceilings of today’s cheese plants, fish factories, poultry processing, bottling and meat plants, and other food processing plants. The POLY BOARD© panels come with a ten-year warranty and will not turn yellow, deteriorate or delaminate. Extrutech panels meet ASTM E84-05 and CAN/ULC S102.2-03 Class A for smoke and fire.

Extrutech also offers customized plastic, extruded door panels and frames that are assembled with stainless steel hardware and doorknobs that can be easily washed. A U.S. company in operation since 1992, Extrutech works along with companies to engineer the exact plastic material list for their new project. Pheasant farms, dog kennels, garages, car washes, dairies, cheese plants, swimming pool rooms, clean rooms and food processing plants use Extrutech POLY BOARD© panels for a safe, clean environment.
